My recollections later were epitomised by the final statement: I enjoyed a moment in the courtyard of the Stampalia al Quirinale sitting beside that little marble fountain; what I believe to be a perfect moment, when the sun cast its sharp light on the marbles aging edge to reveal the rock’s frailties; the water quietly trickling out of a simple copper spout. My supposition is that this small space included everything I wanted to do in my life. I want to reflect back to the sun an image of myself; with meaning; with simplicity; with total undisturbed engagement; with humility; with certainty; with love.
